Jim does not have email so, as his playing partner, I am submitting this on his behalf. Jim recorded his "ace" with a pitching wedge on the very tough second hole of the "west" nine. It was a very wet morning with a misty rain. The green on #2 is completely surrounded by water. It is about 30 yards wide about 15 yards deep and slopes sharply from the golfer's left to right. The tee shot is all carry and must be very accurate. As members we joke that this par 3 is the easiest par 5 on the course. The pin was in the right front quadrant. Jim's shot landed about 8 feet in front of the pin, bounced once, checked and rolled right into the centre of the cup. It was witnessed by myself (john forrest and bill simmons)
