The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.

170m par 3 with difficult pin position on the left side with a bunker in front of the great and a 100m of water in front of the bunker. Started on the left side of the green with a draw that landed 10 foot from the pin and it rolled in the cup. I saw that it landed on the other side of the bunker and knew ir was close, but my playing partner (a lady) was on the ladies tee and saw it land and saw it drop with a clunk and was screaming abck to me "it went in" I could not believe it.
