I was playing in a better ball bogey competition with the vice captain as my partner. I had already parred the first 2 holes so the hole in one put us 3up after 3 holes. Another witness was the club captain who was marking our card. It was also witnessed by the group ahead standing on the next tee (they raised their arms in celebration before we realised it was in). The ball landed 1 foot short of the green, bounced 2 or 3 times then ran 20 odd yards to the pin and rested against it for around 20 seconds before dropping to the bottom of the cup. My partner (jim crammon) and I went on to win the competition with a score of 10up. Had to phone my wife to pick me up after celebrating for over 2 hours at the 19th.
