Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.
This hole in one came on a par three that had an elevated tee box and green. The green was higher than the tee box and the front edge of the green was above the hole. A large bunker guarded the front of the green and my shot landed on the crest at the edge of the green and rolled down about 5 feet to the hole and in the cup. Due to the elevation, I couldn't see the ball roll into the cup, but my playing partners did and they were very excited. I had to hold my excitement until I could get to the green and see the ball in the cup. Oh boy, what a rush.
