I was playing in my first cadet captains day, partnering my 2 school friends adam moulder and james lang-stevenson. The 5th hole was the nearest to pin prize hole and therefore 2 adult members mr & mrs stratford were on the green waiting to measure where our shots landed. I hit my 9 iron, it bounced on the front of the green and rolled into the hole. Mr & mrs stratford jumped up and cheered and so did both my playing partners but I just stood still in a state of shock! I played to my handicap of 36 and won the under 14s handicap prize and won a pinnacle cap for nearest the pin on the 5th. Mr & mrs stratford very kindly gave me a £10 voucher to spend in my pro shop. I've only been a member for 3 months and I'm lucky enough to have had this fantastic experience.
