A random friday afternoon three couples chose to play a round. Another friend joined, so we played one more best shot round. Only one guy had a ball on the green and my ball was heading straight for the pin. I turned away to celebrate that mine would be closer. Everyone else began to yell and point. I was assuming it was a prank until another wife was the first to hug and pick me up. Then each one came to me to hug me. It was told later that my husband had the beginnings of tears in his eyes. My husband videoed as I walked to the hole and picked up my ball. One wife as texting others the news and we found out neighbors could hear us yelling from the course. One couple that had gotten the text met us at the clubhouse that was ready to close for the night. I had to spend my crispy $100 bill for more than one round of celebratory drinks. Not sure how that tradition was startedâ... The one person being celebrated has to buy for everyone else! The rush was totally worth it!!
