In 35 years of golf, I never had a hole-in-one, although I've been close. I've also witnessed 4 hole-in-ones and was wondering if the golf gods were ever going to let me have mine! My hole-in-one was on a very tough par 3, 186 yards, all carry over a big lake. The ball landed, took one hop, and went right in the cup! The strange thing is that 4 days earlier, on the same hole, I hit the flagstick with my tee shot. In that same round, I hit a shot that stopped 1 inch from the cup too! It looks like it must've been my time for a hole-in-one.
