The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.

One of the hardest par 3's I've ever played. I was playing the back blue tees and it was playing about 210 yards. The green slopes hard right to left with a bunker in the front left. I wanted to play a slight fade to keep the ball form kicking hard left down the slope. The pin was in the front middle. I hit a 4 iron that started 5 yards left of the pin and faded about 5 yards right of the pin just as I planned. It landed just short of the green and bounced straight in the air on the green just above the hole. It trickled out a couple feet then started going down the slope where it went out of sight. That's when my whole group went crazy knowing the ball just went in the hole for an ace. My heart was racing as I ran to the cart to go collect my ball.
