My husband mark and I just retired to the villages in florida. Mark is an outstanding golfer and has been playing for 30+ years. I, however, am a novice when it comes to golf! Mark taught me all I know about golf, and he worked with me a little over the last several months. The day I got the "hole in one" was only my third time playing an actual round of golf; and my first time with "the girls," my new ladies golf group! I was playing astonishingly well for me the entire round. When I was lining up my shot on the 9th, and final tee, I heard my husband's instructions in my head, lined up the shot, and hit a beautiful drive that landed what appeared to be about five feet from the hole! The other three ladies in my foursome were all watching and started screaming! I remember "saying no, it can't be, no its not possible! " then the ball rolled directly in the hole!! I felt dizzy, and before I knew it, I was flat on the ground! I had actually fainted for a brief moment!! I found myself kicking and screaming on the ground, before we all started jumping up and down, screaming and hugging one another!! I am still in shock! When we returned to the starter shack to have my score card signed, they said, "well, we knew somebody either had a heart attack, or a hole in one!! After all, hahaha, it is a 55+ retirement community! It could go either way!! ;-)
