We pulled up to #9 188 yards into the wind, so I went one club up and grabbed my six iron. I hit it solid and watched it land on the green, but I lost sight of the ball and wasn’t sure where it finished. Shawn asked if it disappeared, which made me wonder. I checked through my rangefinder and still couldn’t see anything. We drove up and I grabbed my putter and wedge, hoping to avoid the long walk back to the cart. I looked behind the green first and didn’t see it. Then I walked to the hole and there it was, sitting in the bottom of the cup. My first hole in one.
