Hole no. 14 is an uphill slightly dogleg right hole with the pin completely unseen from the blue tee box. Using a precept 00 golf ball on the tee, I teed up and lined up at the intended target which was a dried-up 'kakawate' tree. I hit the ball in a crisp manner without even a slight look-up and then viewed the ball as it went directly over the tree. The caddies commented that it was indeed a good shot with a perfect swing while my flightmates were joking if I could repeat it for them. I then heard a slight 'thug', but didn't entertain the thought of an ace as the pin cannot be seen from the tee box. I then walked towards the green with my caddie julius as we started looking for the ball just in front of the green but to no avail. At the back of the green, under the three I started uncovering piles of dried-up leaves but no ball can be found. I then started entertaining the toughts saying 'yes, indeed I might have hit an ace'. I slowly walked towards the cup as my flightmate was also doing the same. Slowly peeped at the cup and hola!!!!! My first hole-in-one in eight (8) years of playing golf. I then exchanged high-fives with the caddies and my flightmates, jake, chito, ninoy and vincent as they recognized my ace. What a feeling indeed.......
