Playing match play at opponents course. My partner and I were 1-up after tying the previous hole and I had given a pretty generous putt. We were a little behind and I was trying to be fair and have a good time at the same time. We got to the par 3, 7th and the green had just cleared. Our opponents hit their balls, with on in the right bunker and the other short. After checking and double checking my distance as I was a bit in between clubs. I pulled out the longer 7-wood and tee'd up my ball. Took a couple of practice swings then hit a nice high draw. The ball landed a short and little right, took a couple of bounces then rolled to the back pin placement and into the hole. One of the ladies in the group in front of us from the opponents team was watching it the whole time. We saw it disappear, but since I had never played the course before, did not know if it went behind a slope or in the hole. She started running towards it and signaled "touchdown". We all started high-fiving and hugging. I took some pictures and it was a wonderful memory. Our opponents then turned to me and said, "I guess that means the hole is over...? " then we all started to laugh.
