Thursday may2nd was our opening day skins tournament, as I got to the par3 12th hole the winds had picked up to 15mph. Two in my group hit 8 irons and were a little short on the green so I chose my 7 iron. I stepped up to the tee and hit a high lofted shot with a slight fade riding against the winds. It looked good in the air and the guys on the tee box said I think its going to close! Well as the ball hit the green it hopped once, rolled about 4 inches and into the cup it went. I was so skeptical because after 59 years of golfing I was not sure until I could see the ball in the cup. We rode up to the green while my playing partners got out a briskly walked up to the hole. I proceeded to walk towards the hole while two of them looked down into the hole, both stood there shaking their heads. Well to my surprise I looked into the cup and went berserk. It really happened after all these years, the celebration began. And the drinks flowed freely after the round. But on saturday may4th, we had our opening 2-man best ball tourney. I started the round with 4 pars, then the next hole is a par3 on the 5th hole. Two of the same guys were paired with me this day so as I went up to the green to scope the distance they started talking about "maybe having back to back hole in one's". I said I think one is just fine as I went back my bag to get a 7 iron, the hole playing 163 yds. I stood over the ball, took a good look at where I wanted to flight the shot, hit a another high lofted 7 into the air. Now all started yelling as the ball going on a dead bead to the pin, I said omg is really going in? The ball took on hop rolled about 12 inches and into the cup. We all started yelling and high fiving each other and stated two holes in one in a span of three days? Are you kidding me? Well the celebration continues as lightning does strike twice! 59 years of golf and in the span of three days, I now have two holes in one. Its quite an achievement and one I will never forget
