The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.

I hit the ball and I knew it was a good drive and on the mark but there was a knoll and I could not see where the ball ended up. As we approached the green I did not see my ball (it was a pink golf ball). My team mates said-"where is it? " we walked all over the greem and just off the green--and then I thought oh my god could it be-but I didn't want to go near the cup to indicate that it could even be in there. We all walked toward the cup and I stopped first and saw it in there-they all said "is it in the cup? " I shook my head yes and we all lost it! We were all very excited-obviously me!
