The shot was all carry over water and the pin was in the back center. The back of the green was bordered with a sandtrap. When the ball disappeared, I asked if it went in and one of my playing partners, mike hayes, said 'no, I think it went over into the trap'. He, of course, sped off to the green ahead of me and looked in the cup then the trap and proclaimed, 'yep, in the trap'. Shocked an disappointed, I marched to look in the hole first and there it was. On green celebration started and bloody mary's for everyone (it was still early in the morning, we started on the back nine).
