The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.

I had not made a birdie all day. I told marlo carillo that I had 2 holes left to make a birdie. I wanted to birdie hole 17 rather than put pressure on myself to birdie the last hole. I was the first to tee it up. I play a little fade so I aimed a little left of the pin. I hit my green callaway supersoft and noticed that it looked and felt pretty good. The green ball landed and rolled about 5 feet towards the pin. Then, that little green ball disappeared. Everyone (marlo carillo, dave bacani & james white) yelled, yeah! I didn't birdie the whole day but it's ok.
