I was recently diagnosed with cancer and this was the last game of the year for me before my operation which is scheduled for november 9, 2006. I was playing with my usual partner and we were having a great round knowing that this was it until next spring. I had to cancel my trip to santee south carolina due to the upcoming operation. I hit my shot and we both saw that it was heading for the hole I glanced away for a second and saw the ball disappear. I turned to my partner and said that either the ball rolled off the back of the green or it went into the cup. We both walked up to the green on different sides and looked around the back of the green but did not find anything. He went over to the hole looked in and said oh there you are. He motioned to me to take a look as the ball was right there I couldn't believe my eyes the last game before a major operation and bango an ace. We stood on the green and started to laugh and he gave me a bear hug of congratulations.
