Kully Jerome Simmons

Was a back pin tucked behind a bunker with a right to left cross wind blowing from 1 o'clock to 7 o'clock. I hit a nice 4-iron with a draw, it hit over the bunker straight at the flag, it rolled a long ways then disappeared. We thought it was either in the hole or rolled off the back. The other three players felt sure it was in, I was hopeful. We got up there and no ball was long and my partner walked up to the hole and just smiled and pointed. I walked over picked the ball out of the hole and we hooped it up and high fived all around. They seemed more excited than myself. However I was shaking like a leaf on the next tee ha ha! The neat thing was that one of my foursome is the sports editor for the local paper, great witness huh? Will be in midland reporter telegram monday the 30th or possibly tuesday. Will send paper article and copy of scorecard to 93 year old grandfather who played till he was 86, but still loves and follows the game with great passion.
