The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.

The thing that made this hole-in-one so special was the fact that I didn't even know I shot a hole-in-one. I actually played that very hole five days ago and shot a devastating triple bogey. When I saw the hole again today I was kinda nervous on the tee box, but I pulled out my 21 degree fairway wood and gave it a slice drive and next thing you know it was on the green (or so I thought). As I approached the green I had noticed my ball was gone. I looked everywhere trying to find it and finally gave up. I decided to drop and play it beside the nearby swamp. I chipped it onto the green after noticing my dad was ready to make his par putt. As he went to pull the flag, he and I heard the sound of a golf ball dropping into the cup. He pulled out the ball only to find my missing wilson 3 long distance pro staff. I dropped onto the green and couldn't stop laughing. That my friends, is the story of my first hole-in-one!
