I had just been beaten in a match play tournament 6&5 on the 15th hole of the course (skipped 10-11 due to some very slow groups) after I was beaten I decided to finish out the round. I got to the last hole number 11 and finally purely struck the first ball all day landing 2 feet back right of the pin spinning it back in for an ace. I was more mad than excited that I had finally hit a good shot to end the day and was not sure how to react other than just laughing in pure disbelief. My playing partner just looked and me and said “did you just make a hole in one” and all I could respond was “ I think I did” as I just dropped my club and laughed. Great way to end a round after a very poorly played match. And it’s always that one shot that brings you back to play more and more golf.
