The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.

Was a super hot day- and was a 2-some in my Tuesday night golf league- play was slow so on hole three the other 3-some from the league invited me and my playing partner to join-making a 5-some. Everyone had already hit- I let my partner go first. When it was my turn- I put the ball on a tee- it was struck very crisp, very nice apex, started just right of the flag with a slight draw, it landed just where I was aiming over the sand trap on the green, rolled about 8 ft, then DROPPED IN. One of the guys was watching with a range finder and yelled- it dropped in! I didn't believe him at first-everyone was celebrating-but I was still thinking he was joking. We play closest to the pin on par 3s for $, and there was someone 1 ft away! HOI win the entire pot! The thing of it is- 2 of the 4 players I was with witnessed my 2nd hole in one 6/27/23, now this, makes 3! Bought a few rounds for the clubhouse, then at the local watering hole.
