The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.

Apart from being my 1st, it was also the 1st hole in one scored during a competion match with the west ryde hotel social golf club. There was a fantastic reaction from the four players on the green who called us up. They all jumped in the air just like a toyota add they run on tv here in australia. In addition to these four players another seven also witnessed the event and bought me beers all night. That gave me 23 points on the front nine but unfortunatly I crashed & burned, scoring only 11 points on the back nine.
