The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.
I was the third person to hit on the hole. The first two golfers put their shots close, within ten feet. When I hit my shot it was right at the stick. It bounced a couple of times and disappeared. I turned to the other members of the foursome and asked if they could see my ball. One said" I think it went in the hole". The fourth member also put his shot on the green. As we drove up to the green, there were three balls on the green, all close. As you can imagine my heart jumped as I looked into the cup to find my ball at the bottom of the hole. What a feeling!!!
