The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.

There was a stiff cross wind blowing. The green is long and narrow and you have to cross a pond to reach it. Hit a 5 iron from the sweet spot, sounded and looked good. The cross wind got the ball on line, ball bounced on the green, moved towards the pin, and finally disappeared. My 4 ball was stunned and the celebration hasn't stopped sinced then.
