Browse By DateOdds Of A Hole-In-One?
The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.

The last time I played this course I hit a great shot onto the green but the ball went off the back, so this time I took 2 clubs less as it was downhill. The ball landed short and tracked to the hole and I thought it had stopped, I looked away for a split second then again and the ball had disappeared. Very happy to have had a hole in one at the oldest golfing society in the world. Bought a bottle of whisky for the bar to celebrate as is tradition at Royal Burgess.
