When I hit the five-iron, straight for a change, my playing partner said, "that's in the hole," and I said, "or long. " the ball went out of sight over the upper level front of the green. When we got to the side of the green, I started walking beyond the back of the green, sure it was long, but dana went straight toward the hole and immediately dropped to his knees, yelling, "ace! Ace! " then I saw it, too, pinched between the pin and the front of the cup, about a third of the ball showing above the edge of the cup. Then we both started yelling and high-fiveing. The group behind us drove up and congratulated me, then dana told every person we passed for the rest of the round.
