Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.
We joked because I told my witnesses (matt simard, dave cooper and david smirles) that I was going to hit a knock-down 8 instead of a 9. We never saw it go into the hole. We thought it was behind a shadow or maybe skidded off the green because some of the ground was frozen (it is late nov. In maine). I walked up to the hole, looked down and said, "it's in. " it never really sank in til like 2 holes later, great feeling!!!
