I still cannot believe it, never thought this day would ever come. I've been an avid golfer for the past 27 years, play about once or twice a week. Been a member at angus glen golf club in markham, ontario for the past 7 years, but playing there for about 20 years. This was my first round of the year and was having a good round, but putting was a bit off. Then I got to the 17th hole, a 160 yard par 3, with an elevated tee. Hit a mid flight cut, landed on the green, about 30 feet to the front left of flag stick, then the ball rolled towards hole and disappeared around the flagstick! My playing partners went crazy as this was the first hole in one they had seen live! However being around 8:30 pm and daylight fading fast, we were not positive the ball went in. One of my friends recorded the four of us driving our carts from tee area to hole, that's when we saw it, my ball in the hole! Incredible surreal feel! A big one off the bucket list!
