Playing golf at the tryall club, jamaica, west indies. Playing with friend ken radtke, caddy freeman campbell. That day was on and off again rain all day. The idea to play that day was a last minute decision... Didn't have my own clubs, shoes or glove. But I did have my lucky titleist cap & neon yellow titleist ball pro v1x. When we started playing on the 9th hole, I was telling him this is the hole I always think is my chance at a hole in one. Didn't get one on that hole... And as we were walking off the green I was telling him I was bummed because "that was my hole in one chance and it is on my bucket list to get a hole in one". He chuckled and said I had a lot more years than he did to get one, since he is older than I am. We both laughed. Played the next hole before reaching the 12th hole. There was no talk of a hole in one since the 12th hole tee is elevated and the green is surrounded by so many sand traps! I decided to just go for it with a driver and hoped I could get on the green avoiding the sand traps and the gulley's on the right of the green. As soon as I hit it... I knew it was going to be a good drive getting close to the green... It landed about 4 feet from the hold and started rolling toward the hole. All of a sudden, I couldn't see it, and I asked my caddy where was the ball. He said "in de cup". I repeated "in the cup"... He said "in de cup... A hole in one! " I couldn't believe what I saw... Until I got to the cup and actually saw it with my own eyes! Yes, it was "in de cup! " the celebration began!! What a great day... Checking one more thing off my bucket list! "
