Browse By DateOdds Of A Hole-In-One?
The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.

The 13th hole is situated behind a pond, so I was just concentrating on getting the ball over the water and landing it anywhere on the green. As soon as I hit the ball I thought - that didn't feel right. I caught it a little fat and instead of high trajectory shot, it was more of a line drive and hit the fairway just before the greeen, and then trickled up the green and ever so slowly into the hole. I couldn't believe my eyes!
