I knew I had hit the green, but as I bent down to pick up my tee I saw what I thought was my ball rolling off the back of the green. My husband was fairly sure it was an ace and ordered me to 'get on the cart now -- I think it went in! ' he pulled the flagstick and I just sat down on the green in disbelief. Then I heard applause from the next tee box over. It was a thrilling experience but it did me in because I couldn't do much else for the remainder of the round!
