Browse By DateOdds Of A Hole-In-One?
The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.

I shot this holeinone after playing golf for only two months. It was twilight when we reached the 14th hole at langara golf course, a regular course with a rating of 65. 3 for ladies. I hit my seven wood and made good contact with the golf ball. We saw the ball headed toward the pin and disappeared. In the failing light, our foursome did not know the ball had rolled into the cup. As we approached the green, the foursome on the adjacent tee, began to shout that they saw a holeinone. My friends were excited, thinking may be it was their shots. Being a beginner, I was not sure what the commotion was about. When my friends retrieved my ball from the cup and told me that I had a holeinone, I was still unaware of its import. I was happy, but until my husband told me that he had never had a holeinone in 10 years of playing, did I truly appreciate what I have accomplished.
