We were playing in a 4 man scramble 9 hole event held every wednesday night. We had a bogey on #5 and my son (mitch 14) says to me "dad, lets just have some fun". I took his advise. I hit a 9 iron clean right at the pin, my buddy bill says "oh nice shot. I saw it hit about 2 feet in front of the pin and I thought it stuck, but my son and friend j. D. Simultaneously said "it went in the hole". I had bent over to pick up my tee when the ball disappeared. All I could hear was " that's what I'm talking about bud" from my friend bill. As we were driving up to the green I was thinking maybe it rolled off the back of the green and these guys were mistaken. My heart started pounding as my son and I walked to the green to find my nike pd3 ball laying in the bottom of the cup, I gently pulled the pin out of the cup and retrieved my ball. What a rush! The best part was my son and 2 best golf partners were there to witness it. We hooped and hollered for the next 3 holes. J. D. Has played 17 holes of golf in his life and my partner in all 2 man and 4 man tournaments ( bill) playing for over 40 years had never witnessed a hole in one and for that matter neither had I or my son. I still have a smile on my face as I write this email.
