The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.

After I hit the ball, my husband said 'this will be nice, it's going for the pin'. The ball fell approximately ten feet from the pin, it bounced once, and then started rolling towards the hole. As it was rolling, my husband said 'it's going for the hole'. When it dropped in the cup, my husband, louise and denis, a couple we were paired with for the game, all yelled 'it's in'. I couldn't believe what my eyes had just seen. We were so excited that the marshall came around to see what was happening and a player in the foursome in front of us rushed to the green to check the ball and started waving at us. I will cherish this moment for the rest of my life.
