The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.
Two things were special. One, I was playing the first round with my father and brothers of our 19th annual golf outing. The second was that april 1, this day was my 49th birthday. It looked like the ball dropped in the hole although it was difficult to tell from my tee-box, however I knew it when my nephew in the foursome ahead of us watched it from the 5th tee-box and yelled back at me.
