The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.

I have heard from many how weird I am that I use the same club (my rescue) between 130 yards and 190 yards. My friend was getting on me for it in the tee box given it was such a short hole. He is funny so it was in no way offensive but he did say I would never figure it out if I didn't start using the right club. We were playing as a two man scramble so his intentions were good. He then mentioned I was being too lazy to go back to the cart and switch. We joke with each other all the time so I laughed it off and took a crack at it anyway with adjusting my swing speed. Two hops and a little roll later I heard my friend yell "you mf'er" (for the record he did not use initials) and then he celebrated wilder than I did. I will be honest, I was stunned.
