The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.

The hole was over water and slightly lower thatn the tee. Par 3 170 yards. I hit the ball low and thought I was going in the drink. The ball somehow skipped off of the far edge of the water and popped into the air. I watched it bounce once and drop directly into the whole. This is my second year playing golf, and I am really terrible. That makes it all the more fun.
