Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.
This hole in one occurred during my men's league golf night on tuesday june 27, 2023. There was an air quality alert due to the canadian wildfires and visibility was a challenge for long par 4's and 5's, however, my foursome and good friends saw the hole in one clearly. Our men's league has closest to the pin, skins game, birdies and mystery every week so many of us are chasing the glory. My good friend dave had already hit and in his mind, was preparing to register his greenie when I, the last to t off in our foursome had the ace!!! Our cheers were heard on hole 17, 15 and 12. Of course, the celebration and league participation carried over to the hamlin pub whereas tradition has it, drinks were on me!!! What also makes this special is the golf ball I used was a christmas present from my grandson aiden who turns 1 today june 28.
