The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.

I went back to my bag after I intially choose my mp grad 7 iron. Went with a 6. The shot was of medium trajectory. The ball bounced once on the false downhill green, yardage 183, then right into the hole.... My three gaggle partner's started use words that I cannot type here, since that meant I had taken all the skins that day. Overall they were very happy for me. I can attest to that and the beer tab wich followed for 23 people!!! (all ex-military or soon to be retired like myself).....
