The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.

The shot was high and on the stick the whole way. Because it's a downhill par 3, it's hard to tell if you are short or long on the shot. When it hit the green about 10 ft from the hole I started to yell, "get in the hole" as the ball gently rolled toward the cup and disappeared in the hole. My golfing partner and I screamed so loud I think they heard us in toronto.
