The odds of an average golfer hitting a hole-in-one are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1.
Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.
We all commented on the shot as it was in the air, it was well hit and on a good line with a slight draw. When it hit the green it started twords the hole and appeared to go in but I and my playing partners were apprehensive to start any premature celebrating. I held my breath as we looked in the hole and found my ball. I was in shock, after all the years of golf,and all the practice I greatfully got my reward. Also, there was a 6 hole carry-over of skins on that hole that I received. My playing partners, myself the head pro and assistant pro went to the bar to celebrate.
