I was playing a twilight round at King’s Forest in Hamilton as a solo and joined up with another solo, Michael McManus on hole #3. The sun was starting to set by the time we reached hole #16 so we felt lucky just to be able to finish all 18 holes. Hole #17 has always been intimidating for me with bunkers on the left and 160 yards to reach the green. It played like 175 yards with the pin tucked in the back right corner. So I pulled out a 5 iron just hoping to land on the green. I hit a perfect iron shot directly towards the pin and saw the ball bounce once then disappeared thinking it might of landed in the thick rough back of the green. I put my phone on video record just in case it happens to land in the hole (really not thinking it did). Walked closer to the hole, I saw my divot 3 feet from the hole. My heart is racing and there it was… my first ever hole in one!!
