Even professional golfers only have about a 2,500 to 1 chance. This makes it a truly special and memorable accomplishment.
I was playing in a tournament that I arrange twice per year at the wild coast sun, sponsored by riversmead poultry farms. The golf pro, fred beaver has been assisting me for many years but unfortunately, he has been battling with life threatening issues with his health and could not be with us. This hole in one is dedicated to him. The 6th is an iconic hole, with the ch mitchell bridge crossing the mtamvuna river in the background. The bridge named after charles henry mitchell (my great grandfather) was opened by my grandfather douglas edgar mitchell in 1966 and I was fortunate as a 7-year-old, to be at the opening.
