On June 7, 2018, and as a member of the Sunset Social golf league at Westhaven Golf Club, Gary shot a hole in one. The ace occurred on the fifth hole, 103 yard Par 3. Gary was playing a Top Flight golf ball and his TailorMade Rocket Ball pitching wedge. With an easy swing the ball was launched heading straight for the Greene. One bounce and the ball went directly to the cup, and history was made. This was the first hole in one in over two years at Westhaven Golf Club and the first for Gary. As is the custom for anyone lucky enough to achieve such a significant accomplishment in golf, Gary bought drinks for the entire league.
