It was a 27 hole tournament. We played the 18 hole course then began the other 9 holes. I studied the hole, was almost ready to choose the 9 iron, and I was unsure about the wind. So I decided to hit the 8 iron. I knew when it was hit, it was on line, but it hit the fringe then rolled up and went in the hole. My a-player was jumping up and down and I was in shock.
